Frequently asked questions
What is the Royal-Pedic Natural Collection Single Sided 2" Pillowtop Pad (knife edge) and what does it add to a bed?
The Royal-Pedic pillowtop pad is a 2-inch layer that lays on top of the mattress to provide extra cushioning and pressure point relief, with a knife-edge finish for a clean look.
What materials are used in this pillowtop pad and what does that mean for feel and care?
It uses untreated French lamb's wool and a layer of natural Dunlop latex encased in 100% premium long-staple cotton, delivering a soft plush feel with natural moisture-wicking and dust-m mite resistance.
Who would benefit most from this pillowtop pad, and who might not be ideal for it?
It suits sleepers seeking added cushioning and pressure relief on top of a firmer mattress. If you prefer a very minimal topper or have a very soft mattress, this may feel too plush.
How do you use and secure the pad with sheets and a mattress topper?
The pillowtop pad sits on top of the mattress, then the mattress pad and fitted sheet cover both the pad and mattress to hold it in place.
What design features help keep this topper in place and maintain a clean sleep surface?
The separate mattress pad and fitted sheet work together to secure the pillowtop pad, while the natural materials contribute to a stable, breathable sleep surface.
What room or sleeping situations is this pillowtop pad best suited for?
It's ideal for bedrooms where a luxurious, plush feel is desired on standard or firmer mattresses, and for environments prioritizing a cleaner sleep surface with moisture management.
